Current behavior

• Calculations run in browser JavaScript.
• No account or cookie banner is required. Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization) is loaded to count page views and widget usage — calculator inputs and results are never sent to it.
• Input values are not stored after the page is closed or reset.
• The “Copy result” action writes the displayed summary to your clipboard only after you press the button.

The local development server can receive ordinary page requests from this computer. It binds only to 127.0.0.1 and does not write request logs to an application database.

MarginTally is solely owned and operated by Mark, an individual operator. No company, partnership, or other legal entity currently operates this domain.

Analytics: this site loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-8SBQY0E3LS) with IP anonymization enabled. It receives standard page-view events and anonymous widget-usage events (tool name only). Calculator inputs, results, and any personal data are never transmitted to Google Analytics.

Hosting logs: the hosting provider retains ordinary server request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for a limited period for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

Embeddable widgets: third-party sites may embed MarginTally calculators. Widgets run entirely in the visitor's browser on the embedding site; inputs are not sent to MarginTally. Widget embeds do not load Google Analytics on the embedding site by default.

If additional tracking is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and re-dated before the change takes effect.
